Enter a machine once. It goes on your website, your Facebook Page and your portals.
On sale the day you buy it, not the day it arrives.
You buy, you photograph, you list, you answer the phone. This is the same day, with the typing taken out of it.

Stalmio Solo: One Person, The Whole Journey
Where the day goes
Put your own numbers in. We count fifteen minutes to type one machine into one place, and five minutes for a price change or a sold advert coming down.
Fifteen minutes an entry
Five minutes a change
10.1
hours a month
That is the same machine typed again. None of it is selling.
Portals on Solo: 4 at £15 each a month, or all of them for £60. Yours comes to £60.
The same Tuesday, twice
Nothing here is a bigger business. It is one ordinary day, run two ways, and you have run both of them.
| Tuesday | The way it goes now | With Stalmio |
|---|---|---|
| Half past seven, an enquiry from a portal | You check the portal inbox, your own inbox and your phone. One of the three has it, and finding out which is the job. | It lands in one inbox with the machine already attached, and you answer it from the yard. |
| You drop the price on a telehandler | You change it on the website, then on each portal. The third one is still asking the old money on Friday. | You change it once, and every advert is carrying the new price by the afternoon. |
| You sell a wheel loader at eleven | The adverts stay up until you remember them, and you take calls about that machine for another week. | It comes off every listing the same minute, so nobody rings about a machine that is already gone. |
| You buy a digger at a Tuesday auction | It gets advertised when it lands on your yard, which is whenever the lorry can come. | The seller yard photos come with it, you mark it ready for sale, and it is advertised as arriving. |
| Ten tomorrow, a viewing booked | It is on the whiteboard, or in your head. The customer rings at nine to ask if it is still on. | It is on the calendar with the customer’s name on it, and a reminder reaches you by email or text the evening before and again an hour out. Nothing to remember. |
| A buyer asks what paperwork comes with it | The registration document is in the glovebox, the last service sheet is in a folder at home, and the certificate turns up the week after it ran out. | Every document is filed on the machine's own record, on your phone while the buyer is stood next to it, and the certificate reminds you before it runs out. |
Where the three weeks went
An example, not a promise. Take the last machine you bought and put your own dates against it.
| The machine | Advertised when it lands | Advertised when you buy it |
|---|---|---|
| Bought at auction | Day 0 | Day 0 |
| Advert live | Day 21 | Day 0 |
| Sold | Day 130 | Day 109 |
A machine you have bought but not collected is created as coming, and the photos from the seller yard come with it. One click on Mark ready for sale and you can publish it. Your storefront and the portal feed both say it is arriving, with the date you expect it.
The listings report shows purchase to live beside days to sell, so the lag is a figure you can read rather than one you guess at.
What happens when somebody asks
The advert is half the job. The other half is the answering, and that is the half that eats the day when there is one of you.
Every enquiry in one inbox, with the deal behind it
Enquiries from your storefront, from the portals, from email and from the phone land in one place, and the sales pipeline sits behind them. You answer from one screen, and the deal is one click away.
One email to everyone who asked
A campaign is built from an audience: the buyers who asked about a class of machine. So the mini excavator that came in on Monday goes to everyone who asked about mini excavators, each one in their own language.
The assistant reads the enquiry and drafts the reply
It matches the enquiry to the machines on your yard, drafts the reply for you to send, writes the advert text, and tells you which enquiries are worth ringing first. Included in Solo, with a daily allowance.
Three steps to your first advert
- 1
Create your account
Say whether you sell, hire out, or both. That sets your menus up, and the other half is a switch in Settings the day you want it.
- 2
Load your machines
From a spreadsheet, or from your phone in the yard. Photos, specification and prices come in together.
- 3
Publish
Your storefront and your Facebook Page go live with it. Turn a portal on and the same machine goes there too, with the description translated into 15 languages for the buyers who do not read yours.

See every planStalmio grows with your business
- Start on your own, with the whole product and nothing held back for a bigger plan.
- Switch hire on the week the first machine goes out on hire, from your own settings.
- Add a person, move up, and every machine, advert and customer stays exactly where it is.
What a one-person dealer asks
- I am one person. Is this too much system?
- You start set up for one thing: selling, hiring out, or both. Only that half is in your menus, so the screen in front of you is as short as your week is. The other half is a switch in Settings the day you want it, and nothing has to be rebuilt to turn it on.
- Do I have to move my portal accounts?
- No. Your own account at a portal keeps working exactly as it does today. What changes is where the advert is written: you enter the machine here once, and the portal is filled from it.
- What happens when I take on more machines, or a second person?
- One extra seat sits on Solo at the seat price above. Past that it is Starter, and moving is a line on the bill: the same data, the same storefront, the same settings, the same adverts.
- Can I hire out as well as sell?
- Yes. Switch hire on in Settings and the contracts, the availability calendar and the hire bills appear beside the sales side. The same machine on your yard can be sold or hired.
Start with the last machine you bought
The quickest way to judge this is on your own iron. Bring one machine, its photos and your ordinary week.
